Sand filters are one of the most popular ways to filter water. They are simple, effective and require very little attention. Pool water is routed through a sandfilled pressure vessel. The sand traps large and small particles, but not all sand filters are designed in the same way.

Sta-Rite TRX sand filters are the result of over 50 years of product evolution and refinement. It has set the industry standard for effectiveness, efficiency, long runs between service and providing years of dependable, low maintenance operation. TRX features a special internal design that keeps the sand bed level, ensuring even water flow and resulting in the most efficient filtration possible. A One-piece, fiberglass-reinforced tank with a UV-resistant coating for years of dependable, corrosion-resistant service.

Both Filters are available in a standard filtration configuration and in a configuration with ClearPro® Technology. A patented technology to reach a very fine level of filtration, four times better than with a conventional sand filter. As a result, the water is of crystal quality. ClearPro® approaches D.E. filter quality with sand filter functionality. The secret is a component inside the filter - a porous tube through which water must pass before it re-enters the pool. It creates a final barrier to the small particles, including the finest dust particles, algae and pollens.
